How Does it Work?
Act Local functions as an ecosystem where everybody wins. Here’s how it works: 1) cinemas become community centers and gain relevance 2) by hosting film festivals and other events that are 3) connected to filmmakers 4) who are connected to causes which are 5) supported by brands that are in turn 6) supported by festival audiences. It’s a win, win, win, win, win, win situation.
The UN SDGs
We support many causes, but as a general guideline, we are focused on the UN’s 17 SDGs (The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals). These 17 goals designed to transform our world include no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation, and infrastructure. Reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice, and strong institutions and partnerships for the goals.

Companies and causes can raise extra cash with our custom photobooth app which can be used to post event photos or custom audience greeting cards.
InterACT Local
With help from our partner AutoDCP, Act Local can provide a number of interactive applications like interactive slideshows, trivia games, audience voting and more via multiscreen applications.
AutoDCP
AutoDCP offers completely automated DCP creation for delivery to film festivals and events. Filmmakers and content providers pay just $5 per finished minute with events and festivals earning an affiliate fee for each video created. DCPs are checked for compliance and delivered in a convenient dashboard that helps festivals and events track deliveries.
